Current Workshop
The 2008 workshop begins with registration from 3-5 p.m. on May 5 at Assembly Inn, and concludes with breakfast on May 10.
Quick facts about the 2008 Annual Recreation Workshop:
- Held May 5-10 in Montreat, N.C. For more information about the Montreat Conference Center, including directions and other workshops held at the center, visit their website.
- Total cost for the ARW is $490.00, which includes rooms, meals, and tuition.
- A $100 deposit is required with registration. Participants who cancel before April 1 receive a $50 refund of their deposit. After April 1, refunds are made only if another participant fills the vacancy.
- Rooms are in the Assembly Inn, or Reynolds Lodge upon request and availability.
- Meals are provided in the Dining Hall of Assembly Inn.
- Meal plans may be purchased for anyone who accompanies a participant.
- CEUs (Continuing Education Credits) are available with the approval of a participant’s professional organization. Participants may earn up to 2.8 CEUs. An official certificate is issued after the conference for a $10 processing fee.
- Youth (16 and older) who have recreation leadership responsibilities are welcomed participants when accompanied by an adult sponsor.
- Children are welcome at meals, free time and certain evening events. Because the conference is for adult leaders, participants who bring children must find their own off-site housing. The fee for these participants is $325, which includes participant meals but not housing. Participants may purchase meal plans for anyone who accompanies them.
